Tennis Score Wizard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to both Tennis Score Wizard and Tennis Score Wizard Pro. The apps store match information and Rivalry player profiles locally and can synchronize them through the private CloudKit database for your Apple Account. The apps do not require a Tennis Score Wizard account or use a match-history server operated by the developer. The developer does not receive, sell, or use synchronized match or Rivalry data for advertising.

Manual Matches and Optional Match Context

Pro lets you enter the result of a match you’ve played and optional timing details on iPhone. You may also add the surface, indoor or outdoor setting, venue, court and a personal note to a new or existing match. These details are stored with the match and can synchronize through the same private iCloud and paired-device paths as other match data. Manual entry does not create Health workouts or reconstruct heart-rate and point-by-point measurements.

Place and court names are entered as text; this feature does not request GPS location or send a court search to a maps service. Favorite courts are stored locally on the iPhone and separated by Apple Account. Reusing a court does not copy another match’s personal note.

When you choose to share a match image, entered court conditions and location are included. Personal match notes and private Rivalry notes are excluded. Review the image before sharing it; information you choose to share is then handled by the destination app or service.

Saved point history and history files

Newly recorded matches can retain the sequence of scored points used for Match Flow. This sequence is stored with the match and can follow the same private synchronization paths as other match data; the app does not recreate missing points for older or manually entered results. In Pro, you may choose to export a report or backup file containing match history. Such a file is created on your device and is shared only through the destination you select. Review it before sharing; the destination app or service then handles the copy under its own terms.

Website analytics

This website uses GoatCounter to measure page visits, referral sources, approximate locations, browsers, languages, screen sizes, and clicks on App Store links. GoatCounter processes IP addresses to estimate location and recognize repeat visits for up to eight hours; IP addresses are not stored in its analytics database. We use aggregate reports, without tracking cookies or individual pageview records. This website analytics does not receive data from the apps, including matches, player profiles, notes, or Health data.

Data Collection

Tennis Score Wizard and Tennis Score Wizard Pro do not require a Tennis Score Wizard account, registration, email address, or developer-hosted profile. The developer does not receive match history, Rivalry player profiles, private notes, match statistics, workout summaries, or Health data through any server it operates. Apple may process data required to provide iCloud, the App Store, purchases, and operating-system services under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Local Match History and Paired-Device Sync

Match history is stored locally on your Apple Watch and, when using Tennis Score Wizard Pro, on your paired iPhone. Automatic match stats, including points, serve, return, break points, match flow, tie-break, and available workout summary values, are stored as part of a saved match. Pro may also transfer match data directly between your paired Apple Watch and iPhone using Apple’s Watch Connectivity framework. This paired-device transfer and CloudKit synchronization are independent paths and may complete in either order.

Rivalry Player Profiles and Private Notes

Rivalries can store a player’s full name, the shorter name shown on Apple Watch, an optional private note, a stable internal identifier, and links between that player and saved singles matches. This information is stored locally and can synchronize through the private CloudKit database for your Apple Account. Player identifiers and deletion records help the apps keep one consistent profile across devices and avoid restoring deleted or outdated copies.

Pro can also send the current player list directly between a paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Watch Connectivity so the Watch picker can update without waiting for iCloud. Private notes and match assignments are not included in that direct Watch list. Private notes are not included in shared Rivalry text or visual cards.

Private iCloud Synchronization

When a device is signed in to an Apple Account and iCloud Drive is enabled, the apps can synchronize saved match records and Rivalry library data through Apple CloudKit. Records are stored in the private database for that Apple Account and count toward the user’s iCloud storage. By default, only that user can access the private database; the developer cannot view its records. Standalone and Pro use the same CloudKit container, allowing saved matches and Rivalry data to synchronize between the two apps on Apple Watch and iPhone when they use the same Apple Account. Each Apple Account has a separate private history; changing accounts does not merge or transfer records between them.

When the apps detect an Apple Account change, they switch the visible local cache to the current account. Before removing the previous account’s local cache from that device, records still waiting to synchronize are retained in an encrypted local recovery copy tied to the previous account. Those records are not uploaded to the new account. Changing accounts does not delete records already stored in either account’s private CloudKit database.

Apple provides iCloud services under the Apple Privacy Policy and applicable iCloud Terms of Service.

Health and HealthKit

The apps can optionally request access to Health data to save tennis matches as workouts, display live heart rate during a recorded match, and show workout summary values such as Average Heart Rate, Maximum Heart Rate, Active Energy, and Match Duration after the workout is saved.

Health Access Is Optional

Health access is optional and controlled through Apple’s permission system. If permission is granted, HealthKit handles workout, heart-rate, and active-energy data on your devices, and the apps use it only for workout-related features. The apps do not send Health data to the developer, and the developer does not sell or share it.

Network Access

Scoring matches does not require network access. Network access is used when the operating system communicates with Apple services such as iCloud synchronization and optional App Store purchases, or when you choose to open an external wallet for optional cryptocurrency support. The apps do not send tennis scores, match history, Rivalry profiles, private notes, match stats, workout data, or heart-rate data to any server operated by the developer.

Optional Support Payments

Optional one-time tips made with Apple’s in-app purchase system are processed by Apple. The developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple may provide purchase and financial reports under its own terms and privacy policy. A tip does not unlock features, remove limits, or change how the apps work.

If you choose cryptocurrency support, the app shows a project wallet address or opens a compatible external wallet. Cryptocurrency transfers are made outside the app, are generally irreversible, and are recorded on a public blockchain. A public transaction can reveal wallet addresses, the transferred amount, and the time of the transfer. The app does not attach your match history, Rivalry data, Health data, or private note to that transaction.

Analytics and Tracking

The apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking technologies.

Data Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent, or disclose match history, Rivalry profiles, private notes, match stats, workout data, heart-rate data, or active-energy data to advertisers or data brokers. For iCloud synchronization, match records and Rivalry library data are sent to Apple’s CloudKit service. Pro can also transfer match records and the Watch-safe player list directly between the paired Apple Watch and iPhone through Watch Connectivity.

Deletion, Reinstallation, and Retention

Deleting a saved match inside the app synchronizes that deletion when iCloud is available. Removing the app from a device does not by itself delete match records that have already synchronized with iCloud. Those records can download again after reinstallation under the same Apple Account. A match that has not completed a successful iCloud sync may exist only on the original device.
